Great article and good depth of content!

I think it's easy to fall into the trap of either expecting the manager to tell you what to do, OR to disengage from the catchup entirely, and not make the most out of them.

It can depend from manager to manager, and company to comapny the extent to which the 1:1's are useufl, but one should approach them with intent as you have described, Ronen, and understand how your manager can contribute to your personal development plan.

I feel like calling them boss is derogatory instead of saying maanger, but that's a preference!
